FAQs

How soon can I move in?

The customer can move in the same day without delay once the licence and moving in paperwork have been completed

Do we have to pay a deposit on our storage unit?

Unlike many of our competitors a deposit is not required.

Can I have access to my cubicle at any time?

For security reasons access is by appointment only.  Our opening hours are 9am – 5pm Monday to Friday but for the payment of a small premium access can be arranged outside of these hours.

How can I pay?

Direct debit is the easiest and most convenient way of paying your storage charges.  We do however accept payments by credit/debit card, cash or cheque.

How much notice do I give when leaving?

We require seven days notice of leaving

How much space do I need?

As a general guide please see our size guide as an aid.  If you use one of our removal partners they will be able to estimate the size required as part of their free estimate for removal of your goods.

What if the actual size requires differs from what I estimated?

We understand it can be hard estimating the cubicle size required and we will only charge for the space you use in 100cubic ft intervals.  If you think you require a 400 cubic ft cubicle but find it fits into a 300 cubit ft cubicle then this is what you will be charged.  Conversely if you underestimate we will charge you for the correct size of cubicle required.

Are any goods not suitable for storage?

We will not accept and the customer warrants that they will not submit for storage any petrol, or any other inflammable materials, any radio-active material, any perishable food or dangerous, damaging or explosive article or substance or any article or material likely to encourage vermin or other pests or likely to cause infestation or infection. The client will not submit for storage any jewellery, watches, trinkets, precious stones, money, deeds, securities, stamps and coins or similar collections of any kind.

Are my goods insured on your premises?

Reynolds Self Storage arranges a block insurance policy to cover our customers goods held in trust in accordance with our standard terms and conditions. If you would like Reynolds Self Storage to insure your goods, under our block insurance policy, the service charge is £4 per week for every £1,000 in value of your goods plus VAT. We would ask you to confirm the value of your goods stored in our premises and keep us informed of any changes to their value during your contract period.
